99. Great lighting effects

Recently, damny posted some great code showing reflective lighting on 3D objects.

I’ve saved his code here, you can paste it into Codea with a long press (hold down
Add New Project button until you get “Paste into new project”). Note – when you run it, drag your finger round the screen to change orientation.

Lighting is complex, involving shaders and other exotic beasts like ‘normals’, and I’m still trying to understand it (and this code). I’ll write a post if I get that far….

And I agree with Johann von Neumann, a famous mathematician, when he said

In mathematics you don’t understand things. You just get used to them.
